IHLM is deeply saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The United Kingdom’s longest-serving monarch, Her Majesty has died today after a 70 year reign marked by her strong sense of duty and her determination to dedicate her life to her throne and to her people.
Her Majesty was patron of more than 600 charities, many of them in the field of health and medical care. They included the British Red Cross, the Royal College of Nursing and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
The coming days will bring much sadness for the many thousands of healthcare workers for whom Her Majesty’s visits brought joy and comfort, and whom she steadfastly supported during her seven decades of service to the UK and Commonwealth.
All IHLM programmes have been suspended and will recommence after the period of public mourning has passed.
